Experiment and a treat!

When the weather is just too hot and you don't want to go out, but are still craving good food, you know that making it yourself is the only way you can have it. Sometimes combined imaginations know no boundaries, and the result is simply delectable!

That's chicken biryani cooking on the left. But the highlight of that day was this home version of tandoori chicken, without the tandoor of course! The marination was simple- curd, ginger-garlic paste and salt. The chicken literally soaked litres of ghee and the result was a lot of sizzling on fire, splattering of the ghee here and there, a little bit of burning, and finally one hell of our take on the tandoori chicken.

Finally, dinner looked like this

There was also the signature pudina chaach to settle down all the fire and spice! The dinner turned out scrumptious indeed 😁

Also, the secret behind this culinary adventure- We were a little drunk 😜

Joy!

It is said that we make one of the best memories with food. I don't know if it holds true for others, but it surely does for me! Good food is a great boost of positive energy! Especially, when it is appreciated by others. And if appreciation is as you will see below, then you know that you have been successful!

I do not remember the occasion, but I suppose I cooked this meal to celebrate New years and also to do away with the boredom of having daal chawal everyday :P
Here I made stir fried vegetables, cheese chilly sandwiches and brownie served with strawberries! The table was laid by the little ones!
